The window filter contains one band-pass and one low-pass and / or one high-pass.

A common application is to pass the return path signals and one band of the forward path signals. Or to filter out the return path signal/ low frequency channels and pass a band of forward path and a higher forward path signal/ channels. Please refer to the graph below.

The circuit architecture of this double-passband filter was invented by Soontai.

It can be used to filter out signals/channels in two bands that are unwanted in a CATV receiving system, and can also be applied to other communication systems.

Soontai's window filters provide many features (see below).

1. Wide and deep reject band, provides excellent rejection capabilities to clear undesired signal,
    rejection better than 50dB.

2. Lowest insertion loss, signal-through-loss reduced to a minimum.

3. Excellent return loss, good impedance match reduces signal loss to keep the signal clean. (see figure)

4. Dual layer brass tubes provide the best radio frequency interference (RFI) / electromagnetic interference (EMI) protection.
