The EQ2 is a reverse slop equalizer. Because its electrical curve is similar to coaxial cable loss, it is also known as the cable loss simulator.
In addition to being a cable loss simulator, common applications for EQ2 are described below.
In CATV systems, intermodulation distortion is usually generated due to uneven signal levels.
Therefore, to achieve a flat wideband signal level, a slop equalizer and reverse slop equalizer can be used as the adjustment.
